Healthy Volunteers for Chronic Pelvic Pain Study:
Do You Want to Help Women with Chronic Pelvic Pain?
Are you healthy and interested in helping medical research?
If you answered yes to both questions and have no history of pelvic pain or endometriosis, contact us.
You may be eligible to take part if you;
- Are between the ages of 18 and 50
- Are a healthy woman without endometriosis or pelvic pain
- Have normal menstrual cycles (25-34 days)
- Are not pregnant, or do not plan pregnancy in the next 6 months
- Are not taking hormonal birth control
- Can come to NIH 2-3 times a week for 6 weeks for visits
OR: If you are limited in the amount of time you can spend, but can come to the NIH for 2 visits
Cost: All study related care is PROVIDED AT NO COST. Healthy volunteers can choose to receive monetary compensation or to have their tubes tied (permanent sterilization) at the end of their study participation.
Location: The NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, outside of Washington, DC.
